Bonnie’s Barkery offers full-service grooming in a stress-free environment for all breeds of dogs and cats.  If you’re tired of the high-volume, impersonal shops then this is the place for you.

We strive to give your pet the attention that he or she deserves by creating a calm and loving environment for their grooming experience.

We will discuss with you any personal preferences, health issues or special requests and keep a personalized record on file.

Sandy Burke, Lead Groomer:

Born and raised in Phoenix, at the young age of 18, Sandy was accepted for a one year grooming program at Lemon Grove Kennel in Lemon Grove, CA under the direction of Jack and Marion Dougherty.

Sandy returned to Phoenix and has devoted the last 30 years to perfecting her grooming skills having worked in kennels, vet’s offices, mobile, and even owned her own shop for 12 years.

Her two human children are grown and on their own but she has 12 fur kids to keep her busy;  nine cats: Millie, Billy, Shrodinger, Oblio, Arrow, Stoney, Bing, Marjori and Patio and three dogs: Logan, Sophie and Margarita.

Meghan Zimmerman, Bather:

At the young age of 10, Meghan learned how to bath dogs from her mom who was a groomer.  For the past ten years she has been active in rescuing dogs and volunteering along with perfecting her bathing/grooming skills.  Meghan says “animals are my passion—I love to work with them.” 

She has three dogs (Gracie, German Shepherd mix; Peaches, an Aussie mix; Maybelline, a dachshund) and a Quaker parrot—all rescues.
